SCRAMBLE

THIS FORMAT CONSISTS OF A FOUR MAN TEAM. EACH PLAYER TEES OFF. THE TEAM CHOOSES THEIR BEST SHOT. EACH MEMBER OF THE FOURSOME HITS FROM THE SELECTED SPOT AND SO ON THROUGH THE GREEN UNTIL THE BALL IS HOLED. ONCE A BALL IS HOLED, THE PLAY HAS ENDED AND THE SCORE IS RECORDED.

PLAYERS MAY PLACE THERE BALL WITHIN SIX INCHES, NO CLOSER TO THE HOLE, OF ORIGINAL SELECTED SHOT ON THE GREEN.

IN THE EVENT A GROUP HAS ONLY A THREESOME, ONE PLAYER WILL BE SELECTED TO HIT A SECOND SHOT FOR THE TEAM ON EACH HOLE. THE PLAYERS MUST ROTATE TEAM MEMBERS THROUGH THE SECOND SHOT SELECTION.

ECLECTIC

AN ECLECTIC IS A MULTI-ROUND TOURNAMENT THAT RESULTS IN ONE 18 HOLE SCORE PER PLAYER.

EACH GOLFER PLAYS A DESIGNATED NUMBER OF ROUNDS AND COMPARES HIS SCORE ON EACH HOLE PER ROUND. THE LOWEST SCORE ON EACH HOLE IS RECORDED, PRODUCING AN 18 HOLE SCORE.

EXAMPLE: IN THE FIRST ROUND, THE GOLFER SCORES A 6 ON HOLE NUMBER 1; IN ROUND 2, HE SCORES A 7 ON HOLE NUMBER 1; IN ROUND 3 HE SCORES A 4 ON HOLE NUMBER 1. THE LOWEST OF THE THREE SCORES ON THE FIRST HOLE IS A 4, SO THAT IS THE GOLFER’S ECLECTIC SCORE.

SCORING WILL BE DONE IN A GROSS FORMAT AND THE ESTABLISHED INDEX, AT THE START OF THE TOURNAMENT, WILL BE USED. THIS HANDICAP WILL BE USED UPON COMPLETION OF THE FINAL ECLECTIC ROUND TO CREATE A FINAL NET SCORE.

RED, WHITE AND BLUE

EACH PLAYER MUST PLAY 6 HOLES FROM THE RED TEES, 6 FROM THE BLUES AND 6 FROM THE WHITES. THE HOLES ARE CHOSEN BY EACH PLAYER AS THEY WISH. AT THE END OF THE ROUND, EACH PLAYER MUST HAVE PLAYED 6 FROM EACH TEE. EACH PLAYER SHOULD RECORD HIS GROSS SCORE AND THE TEE HE USED FOR THE HOLE. POST THE TOTAL GROSS ON EACH HOLE. EACH PLAYER WILL USE THEIR ASSIGNED WHITE TEE HANDICAP AND STROKES ARE ASSIGNED TO THE HOLES USING THE MEN'S HANDICAP RATING.

SHARK SHOOTOUT

THIS CONSISTS OF TWO MEN TEAMS USING THE GROSS SCORE FOR EACH HOLE. THERE ARE THREE FORMATS FOR THE TOURNAMENT:

FIRST SIX HOLES: SCRAMBLE – EACH TEAM PLAYER TEES OFF ON EACH HOLE, AND THE PLAYERS DECIDE WHICH SHOT WAS BEST. PLAYERS THEN PLAY THEIR SECOND SHOT FROM WITHIN A CLUB LENGTH OF WHERE THE BEST SHOT HAS COME TO REST (AND NO CLOSER TO THE HOLE), AND THE PROCEDURE IS REPEATED UNTIL THE HOLE IS FINISHED. PUTTS ARE MADE FROM NO MORE THAN SIX INCHES FROM WHERE THE FIRST PUTT IS TAKEN.

SECOND SIX HOLES: ALTERNATE SHOT – EACH PLAYER TEES OFF ON EVERY HOLE. THE BETTER BALL IS CHOSEN AND ALTERNATE SHOTS ARE PLAYED TO COMPLETE THE HOLE.

THIRD SIX HOLES: BEST BALL – EACH GOLFER PLAYS HIS OWN BALL THROUGH THE GREEN. THE LOWEST PLAYER’S SCORE ON EACH HOLE IS USED FOR THE SCORE.

PINEHURST

Each golfer on a 2-person team tees off. They then switch drives and both play second shots. At that point, they select the one best ball and play alternate shot into the hole.

Handicaps are based on 60% of the lowest partner’s handicap and 40% of the highest partner’s handicap.

On par threes, each player hits his tee shot then they select the best shot and play alternate shots until the ball is holed.

If a tee shot is closest to the pin, the team completes the hole, then the player who hit the tee shot closest to the pin places his ball where the tee shot landed and putts to determine his CTP score. His CTP score is not counted for the team score.
